AhnLab noted on the 18th that its research and development personnel recently achieved outstanding results at a major domestic digital forensics competition.

AhnLab won awards in this month’s ▲'KDFS Challenge 2024' and ▲the 10th digital crime investigation competition in the senior institutional sector.

At the 'KDFS Challenge 2024', a single team from AhnLab, the 'Bbanghuru' team (Senior Researcher Eunsujeong, Principal Researcher Kim Wangrok, Researcher Jeong Hyunwoo, and Researcher Lee Jun-kyu), received an award for its ability to analyze digital evidence in corporate breach scenarios. The 'KDFS Challenge' is a digital forensics problem-solving competition hosted by the Korean Society of Digital Forensics, and this year it was held with the theme of 'proving internal information leakage within corporations'.

Senior Researcher Eunsujeong said, “The achievement is even more meaningful because it was accomplished with my colleagues,” and noted, “I will continue to enhance my expertise through various activities.”

Additionally, in the senior institutional sector of the '10th digital crime investigation competition', Researcher Jeong Hyunwoo from the AhnLab A-FIRST team won a bronze medal. This competition is a cyber crime analysis competition co-hosted by the Korean Forensic Society and the Korea Copyright Protection Agency, and is sponsored by the Supreme Public Prosecutors' Office. Researcher Jeong received positive feedback for presenting practical investigative approaches to copyright infringement crimes using digital forensics technology.

Researcher Jeong Hyunwoo said, “It is meaningful to have solutions recognized that provide substantial help to victims of advanced digital crimes,” and noted, “I will continue to build my expertise to contribute to solving cyber threats.” Yang Ha-young, Deputy Minister of AhnLab ASEC, stated, “AhnLab researchers are proving their capabilities at various competitions,” and added, “We will strengthen the expertise of our research and development personnel to contribute to the creation of a safe cyber environment.”
