Shift Up announced on the 18th that its developed console game "Stella Blade" achieved awards in eight institutional sectors at the "PS Blog Game of the Year" award ceremony.
"PS Blog Game of the Year" is an award ceremony where PlayStation users select winners through direct voting, announcing award winners across a total of 19 institutional sectors.
In user voting, which totaled over 1.6 million votes worldwide, "Stella Blade" won in eight institutional sectors, including ▲Best New Character (Platinum) ▲Best DualSense Utilization ▲Best Soundtrack ▲Best Story ▲Studio of the Year ▲Best PS5 Game ▲Best Graphics ▲Best Sound Design, ranking alongside global works such as the "Final Fantasy" and "Call of Duty" series.
"Stella Blade" is the first console game developed in collaboration with Sony through a second-party contract with a Korean game company. The company explained that it has established itself as a title that has received global acclaim due to its extreme action, immersive story, and outstanding graphics and sound.
Since its release, "Stella Blade" has recorded a Metacritic critic score of 81 and a user score of 9.2. It has also reached number one in weekly game sales in major countries. Additionally, it won seven awards at this year's Korea Game Awards and received two awards at the "PS Partner Awards."
Kim Hyung-tae, CEO of Shift Up, noted, "I dedicate this honor to the development team that created a game that can stand alongside the world's best works," and added, "We will do our best to create games that exceed user expectations in the future."
Meanwhile, Shift Up is also preparing for the release of the PC version of "Stella Blade."
