KT Cloud announced on the 18th that it has filed 20 patents related to enhancing the stability of cloud services and data center (DC) automation technology.

KT Cloud is continuing its efforts to secure technological competitiveness by newly establishing a technology headquarters this year, developing DC disaster recovery automation technology 'Path Finder,' conducting proof of concept (PoC) for immersion cooling technology verification, and reviewing the introduction of direct chip cooling (D2C) methods (PoC promotion).

This patent application includes technologies aimed at improving management efficiency across cloud and DC operations, such as a service mesh-based network traffic management program and remote control of cooling water pump auto mode.

The 'network traffic management program utilizing Service Mesh' applied in cloud services enables stable service provision even in large-scale traffic environments, preventing failures in advance and allowing for swift responses in case problems arise. It can also enhance operational efficiency through control functions based on IT security policies and real-time monitoring.

'Remote control of cooling water pump auto mode' is a control system for cooling control in data centers. It prevents overflow that may occur when the DC cooling water pump experiences a temporary power outage and then receives power again.

KT Cloud plans to continue developing various advanced technologies to enhance service completeness next year, continuously filing technology patents related to its business, while also focusing on securing specialized technical personnel.

Choi Ji-woong, CEO of KT Cloud, noted, 'KT Cloud has actively reviewed and applied various technologies to enhance DC operational capabilities and cloud competitiveness,' and added, 'We will continue these efforts and aim to leap forward as a top-tier tech company possessing the highest level of technological capability and service stability in the country.'
