Samsung Electronics announced on the 18th that it will unveil a wide range of new screen appliances equipped with AI Home at the world’s largest IT and electronics exhibition, CES 2025, held in Las Vegas, USA.
AI Home is a solution that allows users to remotely monitor and control all appliances connected to SmartThings through the touch screen embedded in the products.
Samsung Electronics is presenting various screen appliances under the vision of Screen Everywhere, which alleviates household chores through advanced consolidation based on AI Home.
The newly introduced screen appliances equipped with AI Home include a Bespoke refrigerator with a 9-inch touch screen and Bespoke washing and drying machines, each with a 7-inch touch screen.
Users of screen appliances equipped with AI Home can turn the power of connected appliances on and off through a map view that displays all connected appliances at a glance. In the future, users will be able to remotely control mode changes and temperature settings for each product.
Additionally, users can conveniently execute functions such as content search and control, answering calls, and checking product usage through voice commands by utilizing the AI voice assistant, Bixby. They can check the weather through apps connected to the internet or enjoy entertainment such as videos and music through YouTube and Spotify apps.
The Family Hub refrigerator equipped with a 9-inch touch screen can directly function as a SmartThings hub, allowing for control of door locks, curtains, blinds, and lighting without the need to purchase a separate SmartThings hub.
Furthermore, the Samsung TV Plus app is pre-installed, allowing users to watch various video content on the screen, and the voice ID feature, which recognizes the voices of family members, is introduced for personal schedule checks, viewing Google photos and videos, and adjusting screen text size for personalized services.
