On the 17th, Google announced the release of the 'Gemini Kitchen' campaign video featuring year-end cooking recipes and a tumultuous cooking process for a mystery guest, utilizing its artificial intelligence (AI) assistant, Gemini.
The 17-minute video, released through the Google Korea YouTube channel, features three K-pop stars: SHINee's Key, BTOB's Lee Chang-sub, and ITZY's Chaeryeong, who interestingly prepared year-end party food using Gemini. Notably, towards the end of the video, a mystery guest appeared, providing positive feedback on the solutions offered by Gemini regarding the taste, process, recipes, and decoration of the dishes.
In the video, the grants utilized various features of Gemini to tackle cooking missions. SHINee's Key managed his ingredient list with the recipes recommended by Gemini and expressed admiration for tips on adjusting ingredient amounts based on one serving. BTOB's Lee Chang-sub entered photos of ingredients in his refrigerator into Gemini and received suitable recipe recommendations, completing a witty dish. ITZY's Chaeryeong used the image generation AI model 'Imagen' to create a unique tteokbokki decoration image in the shape of Jenga, which she later recreated in her actual cooking.
A representative from Google Korea noted, "The Gemini Kitchen campaign aims to show that Gemini is an AI that helps users learn and engage in creative challenges, going beyond simply providing information. We hope that Gemini will provide more people with opportunities to experience creative and innovative changes as the new year approaches."
