Microsoft announced on the 17th that it has successfully introduced generative artificial intelligence (AI) to customers and partners.
Currently, corporations such as KT, LG Uplus, Sungkyunkwan University, KRAFTON, and Hyundai Glovis have adopted Microsoft's AI solutions. These corporations are utilizing Microsoft 365 Copilot to enhance productivity and efficiency in everyday tasks and to promote a collaborative culture. They are also driving innovations in various industries, including experimental design optimization, risk management, healthcare, and advanced data analytics, through Azure OpenAI services.
Alongside this, corporations in Korea that have adopted Microsoft's security solutions are quickly detecting and responding to threats, thereby establishing a more robust and reliable security environment. All of Microsoft's security products have been designed with the principles of the Secure Future Initiative in mind, prioritizing security from the design stage.
Microsoft anticipates that generative AI will emerge as a key driver of innovation and performance across all industries. According to the IDC 2024 AI report, the usage rate of generative AI among corporations and institutions worldwide surged from 55% last year to 75% this year, recording an average return on investment of 3.7 times for every dollar spent. The survey was conducted at the request of Microsoft, targeting over 4,000 business leaders and decision-makers globally, including those in Korea.
As the adoption of AI accelerates globally, Microsoft is comprehensively supporting customers' AI transformation through Microsoft 365 Copilot and Azure OpenAI Service. Additionally, it is assisting in the safe and responsible implementation of AI through robust security frameworks. Currently, 85% of Fortune 500 corporations are using Microsoft's AI solutions.
