LG Uplus announced on the 15th that President Hong Beom-sik attended the demo day event of the startup discovery and nurturing program 'Shift' as his first official activity after taking office.
Shift is a program aimed at enhancing artificial intelligence (AI) technology, supporting university research institute startup teams and startups with high growth potential to settle in the market.
This program selected startups such as 'LeMont', 'Omelette', 'Fairy', and 'Toggle Campus' in the AI agent institutional sector; 'Squeeze Beats' and 'Techno Matrix' in the software operations and development institutional sector; 'Trillion Labs' in the artificial intelligence transformation (AX) model institutional sector; and 'Aim Intelligence' in the AX-based technology institutional sector.
President Hong noted at the demo day, 'LG Uplus aims to be the company that can best work with startups, the company that startups most want to work with. This journey begins with Shift.' He emphasized the importance of cooperation in AI technology and urged proactive discovery of promising AI technology corporations for practical collaboration in technological innovation and customer satisfaction.
Startups selected for the Shift program will receive support through LG Uplus's AI model 'IXI's application programming interface (API) and infrastructure, along with opportunities for equity investment reviews through dedicated funds. At the demo day event, a corporate presentation for venture capital to attract investments was held, and plans for business commercialization validation (PoC) of technologies to be developed in collaboration with LG Uplus were announced.
