AhnLab announced on the 15th that it had completed a coding education program titled "Smart Code Creator Classroom" for 29 sixth-grade students at Seongnam Seo Elementary School on the 13th.
"Smart Code Creator Classroom" is a program created in collaboration with AhnLab, the Green Umbrella Child Fund, and Ace Code Lab to provide elementary students with opportunities to enhance their coding skills and problem-solving capabilities.
The program was conducted over a total of nine sessions, starting with the first class on Oct. 2, 2024, and running until Dec. 13. The curriculum consisted of ▲ a special lecture on preventing cybercrime (1 session) ▲ software coding and making education applying AI technology (5 sessions) ▲ a project activity titled "Solving Community Issues through Coding" (3 sessions). In the last class, the students presented the results of the projects they created in teams, sharing their learning achievements.
Hong Young-joo, a teacher at Seongnam Seo Elementary School, noted, "This program provided students with a valuable opportunity to develop not only fundamental knowledge in the field of information security but also coding skills and problem-solving capabilities."
Inchi Beom, executive director of AhnLab's sustainability management team, stated, "We plan to gradually expand coding education for elementary school students in the future to help foster future talents."
