Pearl Abyss unveiled a gameplay trailer for the upcoming open-world action-adventure game Crimson Desert at 'The Game Awards (TGA)' held in Los Angeles, USA, and announced plans for a release in the fourth quarter of next year.
The trailer vividly captured the vast narrative of Crimson Desert and the diverse regions of the Pywell continent through the narration of the protagonist, Cliff. It heightened anticipation by showcasing the adversities faced by Cliff and his companions, large-scale battles, newly added action elements, and a variety of content for open-world exploration.
According to the company, the realistic environments, weather, and time changes implemented through the next-generation game engine BlackSpace Engine provide players with an immersive experience akin to exploring the real world. Players can experience enhanced action content, including new bosses, large-scale battles, and flight actions that allow direct control of wyverns and dragons.
The fun of open-world exploration, which includes rock climbing, gliding, and puzzle elements, as well as unique regions like mechanized towns and mysterious sky abysses, were also revealed.
Crimson Desert is an open-world action-adventure game centered around the narrative of mercenaries, exploring the vast Pywell continent, and will be released on PC and console platforms (Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Apple Mac). Starting from the 13th, players can add it to their wishlists on Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox.
Geoff Keighley, the organizer of TGA, noted, 'I am pleased to unveil the eagerly awaited release schedule for Crimson Desert along with a new trailer to the world.'
