Naver released its '2024 Blog Report' on the 12th, summarizing blog trends from November last year to the end of October this year.
According to the report, 2.14 million new blogs were created on Naver during this period, and the total usage time for blogs reached 700 million hours. The cumulative number of blogs is 35 million. This marks a noticeable increase compared to last year when 1.26 million new blogs were opened. In 2022, around 2 million blogs were newly created.
On a daily basis, up to 1.2 million posts were created, with visitors reaching up to 18 million, new connections made totaling 640,000, and page views recorded at 260 million.
In particular, the 'Photo Dump Challenge,' which captures natural moments through multiple photos, gained significant popularity among MZ users in their 10s to 30s, the company explained. A total of 660,000 participants contributed to 3.3 million posts, and 62 million photos were shared.
The age distribution of participants was 45% in their 20s, 25% in their 30s, and 10% in their 10s, with participation from individuals in their 10s to 30s accounting for 80% of the total. By gender, female users comprised 85%. The growth of blog clips was also notable. This year, 2.36 million clips were created, with themes like hobbies, summer vacations, and water parties gaining popularity.
Kim Bo-yeon, leader of Naver Blog, noted, "We will continue to strive to grow as a 'hip' social media platform where the latest trends are concentrated."
