Samsung Electronics is said to hold a global strategy meeting from 17 to 19. The company plans to discuss its business plans for next year during the meeting.
According to industry sources on the 12th, the institutional sector for Samsung Electronics' device experience (DX) will hold a global strategy meeting on the 17th and 18th, while the institutional sector for device solutions (DS) will meet on the 19th.
The global strategy meeting for Samsung Electronics takes place every June and December, gathering top executives from both domestic and overseas to share issues by business and regional categories. The meeting will discuss next year's business goals and sales strategies.
Han Jong-hee, head of the DX institutional sector (vice chairman), and Jeon Young-hyun, head of the DS institutional sector (vice chairman), are expected to lead the meetings. Lee Jae-yong, chairman of the board, reportedly will not attend the meetings in person but will receive reports on business strategies later. The DX institutional sector is expected to have about 200 attendees, while the DS institutional sector will have around 100.
The meeting is expected to mainly discuss sales strategies and business goals for next year's new products, including the Galaxy S25 from Samsung Electronics. With global management uncertainty rising, it is also reported that risk management strategies in response to changes in the management environment, such as high exchange rates, will be discussed. As a result, plans for global supply of key products and marketing strategies to boost sales are expected to be shared.
