The Iranian government reaffirmed its foreign policy line to stand up to U.S. and Israeli sanctions.
The Iranian government, following the guidance of Supreme Leader Seyyed Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, declared its intent to resist U.S. and Israeli sanctions and pressure with diplomacy and defense as two pillars, local media including IRIB reported on the 29th (local time).
Marking "Government Week," the Iranian government issued an official statement responding to the Supreme Leader's guidance and announced five key state policy lines.
In particular, on foreign policy, it emphasized "dignified diplomacy and resistance to hegemonic forces."
The statement said, "On the international stage, Iran's diplomacy is based on three principles: dignity, wisdom, and pragmatism," adding, "The diplomatic front and the defense front are two inseparable, complementary, and harmonious wings to safeguard the nation's interests and security."
It added, "We will develop these two paths in a balanced manner and, based on their synergy, firmly confront the unjust sanctions and schemes of our adversaries."
In addition, the Iranian government led by President Masoud Pezeshkian presented major state tasks in areas such as the economy and society. In the economy institutional sector, it said it will pursue inflation control, job creation, de-dollarization, and guiding capital toward domestic production to resolve livelihood hardships caused by sanctions.
It also said that, in line with the Supreme Leader's will, it will guard against divisions that undermine social cohesion and prioritize "national unity" in all policy decisions. Alongside this, it laid out a vision to achieve scientific authority in technology and education based on the innovation of young talent.
At the end of the statement, the Iranian government said, "Under the leadership of the Supreme Leader and the dedicated governance of President Pezeshkian, we will spare no effort to realize a 'stronger Iran.'"
Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, in a written message the previous day, imposed a total ban on acts that harm social cohesion and highly praised the government's efforts to provide essential services and manage energy despite intense sanctions and pressure from the United States and Israel (the Zionist regime).
