In June alone this year, more than 1,000 stock transactions were executed in U.S. President Donald Trump's investment account.
According to the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) on the 22nd (local time), the transaction details released that day showed more than 550 purchases and more than 450 sales. Among the stocks disclosed with a transaction size of $1 million or more, the buys included Berkshire Hathaway, Visa and Mastercard, while the sells included Meta Platforms and Motorola.
All of these stocks' transactions took place on June 18. That day was the day after President Trump remotely signed an interim peace agreement in Versailles, France, to end armed conflict with Iran.
The White House said President Trump's investment accounts are independently managed by third-party financial institutions. The White House said, "Investments are made through a computer-based model portfolio that automatically tracks well-known indexes such as the Schwab 1000," and "neither the president himself nor his family directs or participates in the timing or selection of trades."
After beginning his second term in Jan. 2025, President Trump has invested through an investment account included in a revocable trust managed by his eldest son, Donald Trump Jr. According to the disclosed materials, the number of transactions carried out through President Trump's investment account last year was more than 21,000, and President Trump's revenue last year was more than $2 billion. A large portion of the revenue came from investments in crypto-asset firms.
