Director Hong Sang-soo and actor Kim Min-hee received awards together at the Locarno Film Festival for their new film "No Place to Look."
According to AFP, the festival said on the 15th (local time) that it would give the directing award to Hong and the acting award to Kim Min-hee and Italian actor Monica Bellucci.
Starring Kim Min-hee, Kwon Hae-hyo, Shin Seok-ho, Park Mi-so, and Choi Myeong-gil, "No Place to Look" follows Sang-hee (Kim Min-hee), the daughter of divorced parents, as she heads to Jeju Island to find her mother, whom she last saw 10 years ago.
Hong previously won the directing award at Locarno in 2013 for "Our Sunhi" and the top prize, the Golden Leopard, in 2015 for "Right Now, Wrong Then." Kim Min-hee also received an acting award in 2024 for "Su-yu-cheon," directed by Hong.
