Chinese tourists visiting Korea happened to meet President Lee Jae-myung at Gyeongbok Palace in Seoul and took photos with him, drawing attention in China.
According to Newtanqin, the social media account of China's state-run Xinhua News Agency, on the 10th, Chinese tourists recently visited Gyeongbok Palace in Seoul and ran into the president.
In the released photos, the president is seen taking pictures with Chinese female tourists. It also shows the president directly taking a tourist's mobile phone to snap a photo, and Presidential Chief of Staff Kang Hoon-sik receiving the phone to photograph the president and the tourists.
Security personnel were reportedly stationed around the president at the time. After taking photos with the tourists, the president was said to have moved inside Gyeongbok Palace.
From the perspective of the Chinese tourists, after they happened to meet the South Korean president at a tourist site and even took commemorative photos, the scene appears to have drawn interest on local social media.
