The three major U.S. stock indexes in New York opened higher.
On the 27th (local time) at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), the Dow Jones Industrial Average started at 52,173.42 and at 9:35 a.m. was up 601.32 points (1.16%) from the previous session at 52,548.57.
At the same time, the Standard & Poor's (S&P) 500 was up 61.61 points (0.83%) at 7,473.59, and the Nasdaq composite was up 234.50 points (0.94%) at 25,210.32.
Easing Middle East–related geopolitical risks appeared to be a tailwind. In particular, as the United States and Iran temporarily halted reciprocal attacks on the 24th, international oil prices also stabilized.
Receding fears of a benchmark rate hike also bolstered investor sentiment. Thomas Hayes, chairman of Great Hill Capital, said, "The Fed won't move this week."
Big Tech names such as Apple, Microsoft and Alphabet are strong in early trading. In particular, Microsoft shares are up more than 2%.
International oil prices moved lower. At the same time, front-month West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for September 2026 delivery was down 6.08% from the previous session at $83.88 a barrel.
