Ukraine and Russia traded airstrikes again on the 25th local time, leaving at least 20 people dead in both countries since the previous night.
According to Reuters and others, the Russian side said that a resort facility in a beach village in the Zaporizhzhia region occupied by Russia was hit by a Ukrainian airstrike, killing 11 people, including four children.
Yevgeny Balitsky, the Russia-appointed head of the occupied Zaporizhzhia region, said on Telegram that there were deaths in a beach village on the Sea of Azov coast and claimed it was an "intentional strike by Ukraine."
Russia also announced that two residents were killed in a border village and one person died in the occupied Kherson region.
Ukraine's drone attacks are spreading to Russia's rear areas. In Tyumen region in Siberia, more than 1,600 kilometers east of Moscow, a Ukrainian drone targeting an oil refinery crashed on the site, causing a fire.
A Ukrainian drone also attacked a logistics warehouse of Russian online retailer Wildberries in Yekaterinburg, a major city in the Urals, on the same day. Wildberries evacuated employees and temporarily suspended operations at the logistics center. There was no damage to facilities or casualties.
Ukraine has been repeatedly attacking Wildberries logistics warehouses in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Crimea, and southern Russia recently. Ukraine claimed that Russia is using those facilities to supply parts for drones and navigation devices.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on X that Ukraine is continuing long-range strikes in response to Russia's attacks, and said it struck a military-related factory in Russia's Kirov region about 1,200 kilometers from the border for a second straight day.
Zelensky also said Ukraine is achieving results through long-range strikes in the Caspian Sea. He claimed Ukraine also attacked a ship transporting military supplies linked to Iran, but did not disclose details.
In Ukraine, civilians continued to suffer from Russian airstrikes. Zelensky said, "On the evening of the previous day, more than 10 residential buildings were damaged and three people were killed by Russian shelling of Sloviansk."
He also said three people were killed in Sumy region by a Russian Shahed drone attack, a residential high-rise was hit in Kharkiv region, and a clothing market was attacked in Zaporizhzhia region.
The previous day, an arms-related exhibition held near Kyiv, the Ukrainian capital, was hit by a Russian missile strike, killing at least 10 people and injuring more than 100. Ukraine also responded by striking Russian oil facilities and defense corporations in Kirov region.
