The U.S. military said it is fully maintaining maritime blockade measures against Iran.
On the 25th, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), which oversees the Middle East, said on X (formerly Twitter), "As of the 25th, we redirected the routes of 12 merchant ships that tried to break through the blockade, disabled two that ignored instructions, and boarded two to inspect them to verify compliance with the blockade."
According to the command, U.S. forces on this day boarded the Comoros-flagged tanker M/T Charmynar in the Arabian Sea and completed an inspection. The vessel is continuing its voyage.
The U.S. military also disabled the Mozambique-flagged tanker M/T Rabin in the Gulf of Oman the previous day after multiple attempts to violate the blockade and ignoring warnings.
