Foreign media reported that the United States has notified Israel that it will soon raise the level of strikes against Iran and use medium bombers to carry out airstrikes on Iran's secret nuclear facilities.
On the 22nd (local time), according to Israel's public broadcaster Kan, the U.S. military appears poised to strike the so-called "Pickaxe Mountain," where Iran is believed to have built an underground nuclear facility.
Pickaxe Mountain, near Iran's Natanz uranium enrichment facility, is known to house a fortified underground nuclear site.
Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump said, "We will strike that area very powerfully soon," adding, "If there is any place where they are even thinking a little about nuclear matters, wherever it is, we will strike very, very powerfully."
Kan said Israel has maintained the highest level of readiness following this notification from the United States.
