Iran President Masoud Pezeshkian recently defined the situation, including armed clashes with the United States, as a "full-scale war."
On the 20th (local time), according to state-run Press TV and other local media, President Pezeshkian attended the Supreme Judiciary Council meeting held in Tehran and emphasized, "The reality is that Iran is waging a full-scale war now. The war today is not a war fought only with missiles."
He went on to say, "The enemies have reached the conclusion that they cannot force the Iranian people to surrender with military strikes alone."
President Pezeshkian said, "We will fight to the end to safeguard the national interest, and there is not the slightest doubt on this path," adding, "What is most urgently required in this situation is unity, solidarity, and cohesion."
He also said, "The enemies do not want an independent, strong, and successful country to emerge in this region," adding, "It will never be easy to manage external pressure and internal challenges at the same time."
