U.S. President Donald Trump on the 10th (local time) warned that if Iran attempts to assassinate him, he will carry out large-scale retaliation across Iran.
In a post on the social media platform Truth Social that day, President Trump said, "If the Iranian government, as it has repeatedly vowed, assassinates or attempts to assassinate the sitting U.S. president, namely me, 1,000 missiles are already loaded and aimed at Iran, and thousands more will immediately follow."
He said, "The order has already been given, and the U.S. military has the readiness, will, and capability to completely decimate and utterly destroy the entire territory of Iran for one year, with an extension possible if needed."
He then wrote, "PRAISE BE TO ALLAH!"
Earlier, on the 8th, President Trump claimed, "I am No. 1 on Iran's assassination target list." President Trump had earlier also officially declared an end to the truce with Iran.
