Taiwanese actor Fu Tzu-chun (傅子純) has died of symptoms related to acute leukemia, local media in Taiwan reported. He was 46. His health was said to have deteriorated rapidly after a recent trip to Bali, Indonesia.
According to local outlets including Minshi News and United Daily News on the 9th, Fu Tzu-chun's condition worsened on the afternoon of the 7th and he was taken to Mackay Memorial Hospital in Tamsui, New Taipei City, Taiwan, but died. Citing a representative of his agency, Phoenix Entertainment, United Daily News said medical staff initially assessed the possibility of an acute leukemia-related issue, and that the exact cause of death needs further confirmation.
Fu Tzu-chun's health reportedly deteriorated sharply after returning from a trip to Bali with his wife. Local media said his breathing and heartbeat suddenly stopped, his family took him to a hospital, and although medical staff performed emergency treatment, he died.
Fu Tzu-chun debuted in 2002 with the drama "Hushan Yixianzu." He later appeared in Taiwanese dramas such as "Yi Nan Wang," "Nangka," and "Pungsu Sega." In 2010, he gained recognition playing Yang Haiseong in the military drama "Recruit Diary," and he also appeared in "Flaming Hero" and the film "Xueguanyin."
On the 24th of last month, Fu Tzu-chun posted photos on his social media (SNS) from a trip with his wife, which turned out to be his final post. Minshi News said the sudden news of his death shocked fans because he had continued to share everyday photos and stay active until recently.
His wife shared her feelings on SNS on the 8th. According to United Daily News, she said, "The first night I lost you," and called Fu Tzu-chun "the coolest, most handsome, best partner." She added that she cannot sleep because his snoring is gone, expressing sorrow over the sudden farewell.

United Daily News reported that fellow actors, broadcasting figures, and viewers are expressing shock and sadness at the sudden news of Fu Tzu-chun's passing. Minshi News also said Fu Tzu-chun was an actor who delivered steady performances in Taiwanese drama for a long time.
