China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the same day that President Vucic will pay a state visit to China from the 24th to the 28th. The visit will be made at the invitation of President Xi. Serbia is considered a representative pro-Russia, pro-China country in Europe. It is also actively participating in China's Belt and Road Initiative. President Vucic earlier said, "It is a special honor that, following President Trump and President Putin, we, too, will officially pay a state visit to China."
Earlier, President Putin held a summit with President Xi in Beijing the same day and adopted a joint statement focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation. After Putin returns home, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is also scheduled to visit China for three days starting on the 23rd. Recent Middle East dynamics and the U.S.-Iran negotiation phase are expected to come to the table.
