Iran's military said it is maintaining the same state of readiness as before, separate from cease-fire talks with the United States, in case the war resumes.
Amir Akriminia, Spokesperson for Iran's military, said on the 28th (local time) via state television, "We do not think the war is over," adding, "We have reset the target list."
He continued, "If the enemies invade again, Iran's military will face them on a new battlefield with new weapons and methods," and added, "Even after the day when the war stops and a truce and silence prevail on the battlefield, we will continue training with the same caution as during the war and will update our objectives."
President Trump on the 21st signaled willingness to extend the cease-fire with Iran, increasing pressure for negotiations. So far, according to Iran, about 3,375 people have been killed during the war by attacks from the United States and Israel.
