An 89-year-old man was arrested by Greek police in Athens on suspicion of firing a shotgun and injuring at least four people.
According to CNN, Greek police on the 28th (local time) arrested a man suspected of shooting a shotgun and injuring four people at a social welfare agency and a courthouse in central Athens, about 210 kilometers west of Athens.
Local police said the suspect first opened fire at the social welfare agency, injuring one staff member, then moved to the courthouse and fired again on the first floor of the building, causing additional casualties. A shotgun used in the crime was found at the scene.
Local media said at least three female court employees sustained minor injuries from shotgun fragments, and another female employee was taken to a hospital despite not suffering a direct injury.
The motive remains unclear. However, Greek state broadcaster ERT reported that after the suspect opened fire at the courthouse, the person threw an envelope containing documents and said it was the motive.
