Ukraine and Russia resumed drone strikes on each other as soon as the Easter truce ended.
On the 13th, foreign media including AFP and Reuters, citing an announcement from the Ukrainian Air Force, reported that Russia launched 98 drones before dawn that day. Russian attacks damaged infrastructure in Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region. In the Zaporizhzhia region, a fire broke out in an apartment building.
The Russian side said it intercepted 33 drones launched by Ukraine. The two countries began a 32-hour truce from 4 p.m. on the 11th to mark Orthodox Easter. However, they also traded barbs, saying the other side broke the truce.
Talks on ending the war between the two countries, mediated by the United States, have been suspended since late February, when U.S.-Israeli airstrikes on Iran began.
