U.S. President Donald Trump decided to temporarily halt strikes on Iran's key facilities.
On the 23rd (local time), President Trump said on his Truth Social that he had instructed the Ministry of National Defense to defer all military attacks on Iran's power plants and energy facilities for five days.
He added that over the past two days, the United States and Iran had very useful and productive talks to fully resolve hostile acts in the Middle East, and that in-depth and constructive dialogue took place.
However, depending on the outcome of talks with Iran this week, the strikes could resume. On the 21st, President Trump also warned Iran that unless it opened the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours, he would strike power plants.
However, as it was disclosed that there is a separate communication channel with Iran, there is also rising expectation that negotiations could be concluded later.
