Wall Street extends slide as all three indexes fall for third straight week

U.S. stocks in New York closed lower on the 13th local time.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average ended at 46,558.47, down 119.38 points, or 0.26%, from the previous day. It was the lowest this year.

The Standard & Poor's (S&P) 500 fell 40.43 points, or 0.61%, to 6,632.19, also the lowest this year. The tech-heavy Nasdaq composite finished at 22,105.36, down 206.62 points, or 0.93%, from the previous session's close.

The three major indexes have all fallen for three straight weeks. For the week, the Dow fell 2.0%, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq slipped 1.6% and 1.3%, respectively.
