U.S. Central Command, which is leading the U.S. military operation against Iran, said on the 6th (local time), the seventh day since the operation began, that it had damaged or destroyed 43 Iranian ships.
Central Command announced the cumulative results of the operation, including this information, on X (formerly Twitter) that day.
Central Command said it struck 3,000 targets in this operation, including the Iranian military's command-and-control centers; the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) joint headquarters and air force headquarters; the integrated air-defense system; ballistic-missile bases; navy ships and submarines; anti-ship missile bases; and military communications capabilities.
It also introduced the military assets mobilized for the operation, including B-1 bombers, B-2 stealth bombers, Lucas drones known as "suicide drones," Patriot air-defense missiles, and the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) ballistic-missile defense system.
It said the air war deployed jets such as the F-15, F-16, F-22, F-35 stealth, and A-10; EA-18G electronic-warfare aircraft; airborne warning and control system (AWACS) aircraft; airborne communications relays; P-8 antisubmarine patrol aircraft; RC-135 reconnaissance aircraft; and MQ-9 Reaper drones.
It also listed the M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System, nuclear-powered aircraft carriers, guided-missile destroyers, counter-drone systems, aerial refuelers, replenishment ships, C-17 Globemaster transport aircraft, and C-130 transport aircraft, adding, "We also deployed special capabilities we cannot enumerate."
