Minister Cho Hyun of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs met on the 15th with Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, head of the Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and discussed follow-up measures after the state visit and regional developments.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two sides noted that bilateral ties have grown closer since President Lee Jae-myung's state visit to the UAE in November last year and said they would strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation focused on artificial intelligence (AI), defense and defense industry, nuclear power, advanced technology, and energy.
The Minister said there is ample room for cooperation on regional and international affairs and expressed hope to drive shared prosperity by contributing to peace and stability in the international community through future-oriented cooperation.
Khaldoon emphasized his long-standing ties with Korea and said he would play an active role to expand cooperation between the two countries.
