Hollywood actor Zoe Saldana, who plays the Na'vi warrior Neytiri in the Avatar series, has been tallied as the highest-grossing actor in Hollywood history.
According to U.S. entertainment outlet Variety and the U.K.'s The Guardian on the 13th, Saldana became the highest-grossing actor ever, buoyed by the success of Avatar: Fire and Ash, which opened in December last year.
Avatar: Fire and Ash grossed $1.23 billion (about 1.8031 trillion won) worldwide, bringing Saldana's cumulative box office for her films to a total of $15.47 billion (about 22.679 trillion won).
Saldana overtook Scarlett Johansson, who had been No. 1. Through 2024, she remained No. 3 in cumulative box office behind Scarlett Johansson and Samuel L. Jackson, but she rose to No. 1 after reflecting 2025's box office results.
Saldana appeared in a string of hits including Avatar, the top-grossing film of all time globally, as well as Avengers: Endgame and Avatar: The Way of Water. She also took part in numerous Marvel films such as Avengers: Infinity War and the Guardians of the Galaxy series. Her total number of film credits is 33.
On the 13th, Saldana said on her Instagram, "I want to express my sincere gratitude for this special journey that led me to set the record as the highest-grossing actor of all time," adding, "All of this was possible thanks to the great franchise projects and collaborators I was able to be part of, and to all the directors who believed in me."
