Actor Daniel Stern, known for playing a burglar in the movie "Home Alone," was caught by police on prostitution charges.
According to U.S. entertainment outlet TMZ on the 12th, police cited Stern for prostitution on the 10th of last month. Stern was reportedly caught by police during a prostitution sting operation at a hotel in Camarillo, California.
Police on a stakeout reportedly determined that Stern attempted to engage in sex with a woman he had paid and cited him. Stern's side has not given any particular position so far.
In California, prostitution is classified as a misdemeanor, and if found guilty, a jail term of up to six months or a fine of $1,000 can reportedly be imposed.
Stern is an American actor, voice actor and director, and is familiar to audiences in Korea as Marv, one of the two burglars in the "Home Alone" series. He debuted in 1978 and appeared in the films "Leviathan," "Rookie," "Ranger Scout," "Blue Thunder," and the drama "For All Mankind."
