A down-to-earth scene of a British royal princess sitting on the floor of a packed train was captured.
On the 15th, the British daily the Daily Mail reported with photos that Princess Louise Windsor of the British royal family sat on the floor of a Great Western train traveling from London to Bristol.
Princess Louise, born in 2003, is the daughter of the Duke of Edinburgh Edward and the Duchess Sophie, and the granddaughter of the late Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh Philip. She is known to be 17th in line to the British throne.
According to the report, Princess Louise, who attends the University of St Andrews, boarded a packed train at Paddington Station at the time and, finding no seat, sat down on the floor to travel.
Wearing her hair tightly in a ponytail, she drank coffee and typed an essay on a laptop without paying attention to those around her for about two hours until her destination. There was also testimony that she was very polite to other passengers.
Princess Louise has earned the nickname "the royal family's secret weapon" thanks to her down-to-earth character and resemblance to Elizabeth II, and is sometimes cited as Elizabeth II's "most cherished granddaughter."
Meanwhile, members of the British royal family are often seen using public transportation alongside ordinary citizens. A representative example is Princess Anne, Princess Louise's aunt, who took the London Underground to attend a London Fashion Week event in 2020.
