An Austrian female influencer went missing after attending a party, prompting police to launch an investigation. Police reportedly consider the influencer's boyfriend a prime suspect.
According to the New York Post on the 26th (local time), on the 23rd Austrian influencer Stefanie Pfeifer, 32, attended a party with her boyfriend Peter.
During the party, Pfeifer said, "I have to walk my dog tomorrow morning," and went home. She has been missing since.
The first person to report it to the police was the photographer who was scheduled to shoot Pfeifer. When Pfeifer did not show up for the scheduled photo shoot and could not be reached, the photographer visited Pfeifer's home in person. But it was her boyfriend Peter who opened the door, reports said. Sensing something suspicious, the photographer called police, and responding officers found Pfeifer's cellphone near the home.
According to the police investigation, neighbors testified that there was "a loud noise" the day before she went missing. Pfeifer's last message to a friend said there was "a suspicious person on the stairs." Police therefore identified Peter as a prime suspect and began questioning him.
Peter reportedly was arrested near the border as he tried to cross into Slovenia shortly after Pfeifer went missing. The car he was driving was found completely burned near a casino close to the border. Peter was reportedly unable to properly explain why the vehicle burned.
Police are also questioning two additional suspects and are conducting a focused search of areas including the residence of Peter's family with detection dogs.
Pfeifer's mother said in an interview with local media, "We will reward anyone who provides any information," and added, "Please help us find my daughter."
