U.S. singer Delarosa, 22, was shot dead by assailants on a street in Los Angeles (LA), local media reported.
According to TMZ and other local outlets, on the 22nd (local time) three people including Delarosa were shot at about 1:30 a.m. in a parking lot in the Northridge area of the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles. Two male suspects fled the scene immediately after the incident.
Delarosa was rushed to a nearby hospital but died. The two others with her also suffered critical injuries and were reported to be in grave condition.
Local police said, "No suspects have been arrested yet," and added, "We are investigating whether the shooting targeted a specific person, was random, or was gang-related."
Delarosa is a rising artist who has recently begun to draw attention in the U.S. Latin music scene. In Aug. she released the single "No Me Llames."
After news of the death spread, fans left condolence messages on the last Instagram post she uploaded.
