A wax figure of the late Princess Diana wearing what is called a "revenge dress" was unveiled in Paris, France.
According to the Associated Press, on the 20th (local tiRKRme), the Grevin Museum in Paris unveiled a Princess Diana wax figure whose size and appearance are very similar to the real person.
The wax figure of Princess Diana is wearing the so-called "revenge dress," which Diana wore at a party at the Serpentine Gallery in London on June 29, 1994.
The day Diana wore this dress was also the day her former husband, now King Charles III, publicly acknowledged his long affair with Camilla Parker Bowles, which is why it was dubbed the revenge dress.
The Grevin Museum said the unveiling commemorated the 30th anniversary of Diana directly mentioning her husband's affair in a 1995 BBC interview.
Princess Diana was a celebrity of the British royal family, but she is also special in France. The Associated Press described the unveiling of the wax figure as Paris paying tribute to Princess Diana.
Known in France as "Lady Di," Princess Diana died on Aug. 31, 1997, when the car she was in with Dodi Al Fayed, an Egyptian-born heir she was dating, slammed into the central divider inside Paris's Alma Tunnel while speeding to evade paparazzi.
