There is a claim that the husband of the woman whose affair was exposed at a concert by the world-renowned rock band Coldplay was also at the same venue with a date.
Christine Cabot, former chief people officer (CPO) of the U.S. artificial intelligence (AI) startup Astronomer, was caught on the "kiss cam" hugging then-CEO Andy Byron while enjoying a show in Boston, Massachusetts, in Jul., and when the camera turned on them, they looked flustered and covered their faces, prompting allegations of an affair. The scene spread worldwide through social networking services (SNS), and they left Astronomer.
However, the U.K. Times reported on the 23rd (local time) that Christine Cabot's husband, Andrew, who was said to have been in Japan at the time, was actually at the same Coldplay concert that day. The outlet said Andrew was there with another woman who is now his girlfriend.
Christine was already separated from her husband at the time of the incident and reportedly began divorce proceedings a month later.
A source cited by the outlet also said the relationship between the two people captured on camera hugging was not an affair but a good friendship, adding, "As the company's head of HR, Christine acknowledged that such behavior with a superior was inappropriate. But that was all."
The source continued, "The level of vicious attacks and criticism was unbelievable," adding that Christine received hundreds of death threats after the incident.
