Kristin Cabot, the former chief people officer (CPO) of the U.S. artificial intelligence (AI) startup 'ASTK,' has been fired from the company and is reportedly going through a divorce. Previously, Cabot was caught in an embrace with her boss at a Coldplay concert, which was broadcast live on a large screen, revealing her affair.
On the 6th (local time), the New York Post and NBC reported that Cabot filed for divorce from her husband, Andrew Cabot, at the Portsmouth court in New Hampshire on the 13th of last month. The first hearing is scheduled for November.
Cabot was captured on the 'kiss cam' while enjoying a concert of the world-renowned rock band Coldplay with the company's CEO, Andy Byron, in Boston, Massachusetts, in July. When the two were shown on camera while sharing a back hug, they were embarrassed and covered their faces, leading to immediate suspicions of an affair. Some audience members filmed the scene and posted it on social media, causing the video to spread worldwide.
Three days after the incident, CEO Byron stepped down, and Cabot also left the company. ASTK is a startup that gained recognition with a corporate value of over $1 billion (approximately 1.4 trillion won) in 2022 and emerged as a 'unicorn company.'
Husband Andrew Cabot was reportedly on a business trip to Japan at the time of the incident and learned of his wife's affair only after returning home. This divorce marks his third. Kristin and Andrew had just purchased a newly built dwelling worth $2.2 million (about 310 million won) only five months before the scandal broke.
Ex-wife Julia Cabot showed a cynical reaction in a local media interview. She said, 'Andrew was not a good husband, but Kristin doesn't seem to be a suitable wife either,' adding, 'This is just another unfortunate event for Andrew.'
