Hollywood actress Chloe Moretz (28) has married her same-sex partner Kate Harrison (34), with whom she has been in a relationship for seven years.
According to the Associated Press and American fashion magazine Vogue on the 2nd (local time), Moretz held a private wedding ceremony with Harrison, a model and photographer she started dating in 2018, during the Labor Day holiday (Sept. 1). Moretz also announced her marriage on Instagram by posting a photo wearing her wedding dress.
According to American fashion magazine Vogue, the wedding took place at the Louis Vuitton atelier in Paris, France. Moretz wore a sky blue mermaid-style wedding dress, while Harrison donned a white mermaid dress. Both dresses were custom-made by Nicolas Ghesquière, the Artistic Director of Louis Vuitton women's collections.
Moretz expressed, "I wanted to wear a non-traditional dress, and I love it so much. It feels different." She mentioned that her most anticipated moment in the marriage is "just being together," adding, "I hope our appearance becomes an opportunity to change life for many people."
Moretz, who rose to fame as a child actress, was called America's little sister for her roles in movies like "Kick-Ass: The Birth of a Hero" and "Let Me In." Last November, prior to the U.S. presidential election, she came out as gay while declaring support for Democratic presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris.
Harrison, the daughter of actor Gregory Harrison and model Betty Lee Landiock, is currently working as a model.
