On the 3rd, Russian President Vladimir Putin again requested North Korean Chairperson Kim Jong Un to visit Russia.
According to Russian news agency TASS, President Putin and Chairperson Kim held a two-and-a-half-hour bilateral meeting at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse after finishing the 80th anniversary banquet of China's victory day in Beijing.
According to the Kremlin, the meeting started with an expanded session attended by both delegations for about one hour and thirty minutes, followed by a one-on-one meeting between President Putin and Chairperson Kim for about an hour.
After the meeting, President Putin escorted Chairperson Kim to the vehicle boarding area. It was reported that the two leaders greeted each other with a handshake and an embrace.
Just before Chairperson Kim Jong Un was about to leave for the vehicle boarding, Putin said, "Please come visit once again. To Moscow." Chairperson Kim reportedly nodded with a smile.
Earlier, President Putin had requested Chairperson Kim to visit Russia at the Russia-North Korea summit held in Pyongyang last June.
