U.S. President Donald Trump will participate as a speaker at the 80th United Nations (UN) General Assembly to be held in New York on the 23rd of next month.
On the 28th (local time), Karoline Leavitt, White House Spokesperson, noted during a briefing that "President Trump will head to New York on September 22" and "will speak at the UN General Assembly the following day." This will be his first UN General Assembly speech since returning to power.
The UN General Assembly held every September in New York is attended by leaders from 193 countries, who discuss a range of issues from climate change to international peace and democracy.
Previously, President Trump delivered a total of four speeches at the UN General Assembly from 2017 to 2020 during his first term.
At this General Assembly, President Trump is expected to outline his plans regarding major policies such as the economy and diplomacy, and there is a possibility that President Lee Jae-myung will also attend.
