A small plane flying in Turkey for a proposal event crashed onto a runway.
According to CNN Türk and others, at approximately 7:20 p.m. local time on the 1st, a small plane belonging to a private airline crashed shortly after takeoff on a runway in the Ureyir region of Adana Province, Turkey.
The small plane was confirmed to have taken off for a surprise proposal event for Sheida Doan, 30, who was a passenger.
Footage of the incident showed the fiancé on the runway proposing to Doan, who was in the air, using a radio, and Doan accepting by saying 'Yes.'
However, just about 8 seconds after Doan accepted the proposal, the small plane attempted a maneuver, lost altitude, and crashed onto the runway.
The crash injured two individuals, including Doan and pilot Burak Yurekli, 39, who were taken to the hospital for treatment. Fortunately, no one lost their life.
Local military and police sealed off the crash site and launched an investigation into the downed plane.
