Abbas Araghchi, Iran's Foreign Minister, conveyed to the United States and Israel, "If invasions are repeated, we will not hesitate to respond even more firmly, to an irreparable extent."
On the 28th (local time), Minister Araghchi made the remarks via X (formerly Twitter), stating, "Iran, with its rich 7,000-year civilization, does not respond to the language of threats and intimidation, nor does it submit to foreigners, but only responds with respect."
This is interpreted as a response to a recent statement by U.S. President Donald Trump, who said, "Iran is showing bad signals" regarding Iran's nuclear facility recovery efforts and warned, "(If it recovers its nuclear facilities), we will destroy it faster than the speed of a finger wagging."
Minister Araghchi stated, "More than 1 million Iranians need medical radioactive isotopes," adding, "Enrichment is also necessary for nuclear power plant fuel supply."
He emphasized, "If one is sane, they will not give up the fruits of significant investments in peaceful domestic technologies that save lives for a single demand from foreigners." This appears to show a repeated refusal to the U.S. side, which has demanded the abandonment of uranium enrichment in recent nuclear negotiations.
Previously, Iran and the United States began nuclear negotiations in April and have had five rounds of talks, but they became deadlocked over the issue of abandoning uranium enrichment. Furthermore, negotiations were effectively suspended following an Israeli military strike on Iran's nuclear facilities on the 13th, just two days before the sixth round of talks. Subsequently, Iran resumed nuclear negotiations with the three European countries (E3) of Germany, France, and the United Kingdom on the 20th.
