A female executive from a well-known American artificial intelligence (AI) corporation resigned after being caught in an extramarital affair at a Coldplay concert.
According to the BBC on the 24th (local time), Christine Cavett, Chief People Officer (CPO) of ASTK, recently resigned. His departure followed the resignation of the corporation's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Andy Byron, who was also captured in footage from the Coldplay concert.
The two were caught on camera during the Coldplay concert held recently in Boston, Massachusetts, drawing attention. Byron and Cavett were hugging each other at the concert when they were shocked to see their image appear on the big screen, instantly breaking apart. Cavett turned away while covering her face with her hands, and Byron squatted down to avoid the camera.
Coldplay's vocalist Chris Martin jokingly remarked at the time, "The two either have an affair or are extremely shy." He added, "Oh my gosh, I hope we didn't do anything wrong."
Their appearance became a global meme, drawing attention for the content labeled 'accidental exposure of an affair.' It quickly spread through social media platforms such as TikTok and X (formerly Twitter), revealing their identities. Byron was married, while it was not known whether Cavett had remarried after her divorce in 2022.
ASTK is an artificial intelligence (AI) data infrastructure operation company established in New York in 2018. Its current corporate value is estimated at $1.3 billion (approximately 1.8 trillion won). Pete DeJoy, interim CEO of ASTK, noted, "In the past few days, a small startup has received a level of attention rarely experienced. The corporation has become a household name overnight and will continue to advance with a mission to create something great in the future."
