The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recently stated on the 25th that it urges a peaceful resolution regarding the conflict between Thailand and Cambodia over border issues.
In a spokesperson statement regarding the military conflict that occurred between the two countries the previous day, it said, "The government expresses deep concern and offers condolences to the deceased and their families due to this incident."
It further stated, "We urge Thailand and Cambodia to ease tensions and resolve the situation peacefully through dialogue."
Thailand and Cambodia engaged in combat using fighter jets and heavy weapons in the border region the previous day, resulting in at least 12 reported fatalities.
The two countries have experienced long-standing disputes along their border. On the 5th, a Cambodian soldier was killed in a minor skirmish, leading to a blockage of border crossings.
