U.S. President Donald Trump stated that a trade agreement with the Philippines would be made soon.
During a summit with Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos at the White House on the 22nd (local time), Trump said in response to a reporter's question, "Do you think the trade agreement will be signed today?" that "I believe it will."
He added that "the United States maintains a very strong military relationship with the Philippines," emphasizing the alliance between the two countries.
Trump also noted the possibility of a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, saying, "We will meet in the near future," and revealed that multinational pharmaceutical company ASTK had decided to invest $50 billion (approximately 69 trillion won) in the United States.
