Israel announced it eliminated one of the masterminds behind the terrorism on October 7, 2023, through airstrikes in the Gaza Strip.
The Israel Defense Forces stated on the 28th (local time) on the social media platform X that "they killed Hamas senior official Hakam Muhammad Isa al-Issa in an airstrike targeting the Sabra area of Gaza the previous day."
According to the Israel Defense Forces, al-Issa was in charge of training in Hamas and is known to be one of the individuals involved in planning the October 7 terror attack.
It was also explained that al-Issa directed air and naval attacks against Israel as the combat support chief.
The Israel Defense Forces stated that al-Issa was one of the few remaining senior officials in the Gaza Strip and said, "We will track and eliminate all terrorists involved in the October 7 massacre."
Since Hamas launched the surprise attack on October 7, Israel has intensified its attacks on the Palestinian Gaza Strip while continuing to kill high-ranking officials, including Yahya Sinwar, in an effort to dismantle the Hamas organization.
