The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that starting at 8 p.m. (Korea time) on the 17th, it will issue a 'Travel Advisory Level 3' recommending departure for areas in Israel where a special travel warning was already issued. This is a measure taken in response to the ongoing military conflict between Israel and Iran.
The validity of the Travel Advisory Level 3 (recommendation to depart) and Level 4 (prohibition on travel) issued for certain areas in Israel remains unchanged. Currently, a Travel Advisory Level 4 is in effect for the northern border regions of Israel near Lebanon and the Gaza Strip, which are located 4 kilometers from the border.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted, "Nationals residing in Israel should pay particular attention to their personal safety and endeavor to depart as quickly as possible in accordance with the embassy's guidance," and added, "Nationals planning to travel to Israel are encouraged to cancel or postpone their trips."
Earlier that day, starting from 1 p.m., the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had issued a Travel Advisory Level 3 for all of Iran. The Ministry plans to continue monitoring the situation in the Middle East while implementing various measures to ensure the safety of its citizens.
