Two years ago, actress Gwyneth Paltrow (52) introduced her diet consisting of vegetables and bone broth as a healthy diet, but she has revealed that she no longer obsessively follows a strict diet.
According to reports from American entertainment media, including People magazine, on the 24th (local time), Paltrow recently said on her wellness product brand "Goop" podcast that "my husband and I have been following a paleo diet for several years, but to be honest, we got a bit tired of it, and we have started eating some sourdough bread and cheese again."
The paleo diet is translated as "Paleolithic diet" or "primitive diet." It refers to a diet composed of natural vegetables or proteins and is characterized by the exclusion of carbohydrates.
Paltrow said she is still trying to eat "as much fresh food as possible" to address "long-term inflammation" and "health" issues, but admitted that she was initially overly immersed in the diet. She said, "For a while I got into extreme macrobiotics and was obsessed with eating very healthily."
Paltrow, during a grants in March 2023, introduced her wellness habits, stating that she practices prolonged intermittent fasting for hours and eats bone broth around noon, while in the evening, she consumes a lot of vegetables under the paleo diet. However, experts criticized Paltrow's diet, stating it is far from a healthy eating habit with sufficient nutrients and could instill a distorted perception among the public.
As the controversy grew at the time, Paltrow clarified, "I suffered from COVID-19 for a long time, which raised my levels of inflammation significantly," adding, "There are many days when I eat whatever I want, whether it's fries or anything else."
Paltrow is considered a top Hollywood star. She is widely known for her role as Pepper Potts in the Marvel Studios "Iron Man" and "Avengers" series since 2008.
