Donald Trump, the President of the United States, criticized the CBS news program '60 Minutes' for its critical content regarding the U.S. government's policies on Ukraine and Greenland, claiming that the network's license should be revoked.

According to the Associated Press (AP) on the 14th (local time), President Trump posted on his social media platform Truth Social the previous day, stating, "Almost every week, '60 Minutes' has treated the name 'Trump' with contempt, and this weekend’s broadcast was the worst of all."

President Trump said of the program, "It’s nothing but a dishonest political operative disguised as 'news' rather than a 'news show,'" asserting, "They need to be held accountable for what they have done. Their license should be revoked."

He continued, "I hope Brendan Carr, the Chairperson of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), imposes maximum fines and penalties for their illegal actions," and added, "CBS is out of control to an unprecedented degree, and they must pay a heavy price for this."

'60 Minutes' previously aired two segments, including an interview with Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, and content regarding President Trump’s interest in Greenland.

In the broadcast interview, President Zelensky expressed a desire for President Trump to come to Ukraine and see the situation for himself, saying, "Then you will understand with whom you have engaged in transactions and what Putin has done." The broadcast also featured an interview with local residents criticizing President Trump regarding the Greenland issue.

Meanwhile, this is not the first time President Trump has launched strong criticism against CBS's '60 Minutes.' He previously claimed 'election fraud,' saying the program deceived the public in an unprecedented manner when it aired an interview with his competitor, Democratic candidate former Vice President Kamala Harris, during the election campaign last year.
